How this works
We are the front door, not the firm.
Chief Fractional does not place executives and holds no bench. We publish what hiring fractional leadership actually costs and involves in each of our markets, and when you are ready we introduce you to one firm that does the work.
What happens after you write to us
- We read it ourselves, within a working day. Not a queue, not an auto-responder. Every enquiry is read by a person who has run these engagements.
- We usually ask for a call. Twenty to thirty minutes, to understand the scope, the timing, what has already been tried, and whether a fractional hire is even the right instrument. This is the part that makes the introduction worth anything.
- We tell you if the answer is no. Sometimes the problem is a full-time hire, a systems project, or something the founder has to do themselves. We would rather say so than make a bad introduction — the cases where it does not work.
- We introduce you to one firm. One, in your market, chosen for the specific situation. Your details go to that firm and nobody else. You will never be cold-called by six providers because you filled in a form.
- We check back at day fourteen. Independently of the firm, to hear whether it went well. That is how we find out which firms deserve the next introduction.
What we are
- An independent front door with a real pool of specialist firms in each market
- Operators — we have run these engagements, which is why the price index exists
- Paid by the firm we introduce you to, disclosed on every page and on the form
What we are not
- A search firm. We do not recruit, place or represent executives
- A database. We hold no candidate or executive records at all, anywhere
- A lead exchange. Your details go to one firm, never to a list
The one exception, stated plainly
Chief Fractional shares ownership with SmeCFO, a fractional and interim CFO practice operating in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia since 2015. Finance mandates in those five markets go to SmeCFO directly. Every other function, and every other market, goes to an independent specialist firm.
That connection is why this site exists at all: running CFO engagements across the region is what surfaced the same unmet need for COO, CMO and CTO capability. We would rather you heard it from us than found it in a company registry. The full disclosure is here.
